Description
ARA-290
ARA-290 (also known as Cibinetide) is a synthetic 11-amino acid peptide derived from erythropoietin (EPO). Unlike standard EPO, it is non-erythropoietic, meaning it does not stimulate red blood cell production. Instead, it selectively targets the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR) to activate pathways for tissue protection and anti-inflammation
- Nerve Damage
It is primarily studied for treating chronic neuropathic pain, Nerve Repair and inflammation, particularly in diabetes and sarcoidosis - Anti-Inflammatory Effects:
It works by down-regulating inflammatory cytokines and modulating microglial activation in the central nervous system. - Metabolic Support:
Phase 2 clinical trials have shown improvements in HbA1c levels and lipid profiles in patients with type 2 diabetes. - Tissue Protection:
It helps prevent cell death and promotes healing in tissues damaged by hypoxia or metabolic stress
